A multi-language translation program is built around various workshops in which representatives from the different groups are trained and enabled to produce literacy materials or to translate portions of the Scriptures. We are making available our goals and schedule of workshops so that you can get a picture of the kind of training that is being done and so that you can pray more effectively for the various aspects of this ministry.

Kyle's mother passed away the beginning of January so we are currently back in the US for a short visit. We will be returning to PNG the end of March, 2007 to resume our work there. Kyle will continue to serve as acting director until this summer when we plan to return to the Lower Ramu full time.

Goals for 2008 include:

  • Complete the checking and revision of the Joseph Story in the Nend language.
  • Complete the checking and revision of Jonah in the Marangis language.
  • Continue with language learning and relationship building among the Marangis people.
  • Finish serving as acting branch director in the summer of 2008.
